Around the barn...

A few unspokens to make life easier...

Always clean up after your horse (and dogs) in and around the barn. There is a pick in the feed area and you may dump it in the green wagon usually hanging around the barn somewhere.

Always close and chain the feed area. Despite what they look like a few of the horses feel they are entitled to seconds.

Please don’t feed the cats. They get a handful of feed a day - more than enough if they are doing their job…and the field mouse I saw running around the barn the other day says not!

Please do not ride on the inclines next to the barn buildings – always go down the drive. We are trying to maintain the grass in those areas to prevent erosion.

The front gate can be left open if you are on the property. If you leave and no one else is around, please close it. This just prevents any horse that may get out of the fence a way onto the highway or at least will slow them down a bit.
